Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress who is best known for playing Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom" she has been gaining lots of attention. Calvano is a native of California had a first interest in gymnastics competitions. She later decided to pursue a career as an actor. Her debut on screen was the 2010 episode of CBS's 'NCIS'. In the crime drama biographical film J Edgar, she made her first appearance in front of the camera a few months later. Over the years she's established herself among the best young actresses in the current industry. The year she was born, she was awarded a nomination for the Young Artist Award, Best Performance by an Actor in the Younger Years of Actress in a Television Series for her role in "NCIS". She was also nominated in 2013 for a Young Artist Award, this time for her appearance as a guest on Disney XD's comedic series "Kickin' It". Calvano played the lead role in Mom's first three seasons. She was also a guest on several occasions throughout the fourth. Her outing in 'Mom' was recognized with the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in 2015.
